I wouldn't go there specifically for a birding trip because, except for the red-footed boobies, most of the species can be found elsewhere. But that wasn't the purpose of this trip, though we did make the most of the birding opportunities. My favorites were actually the U.S. species that were wintering there, such as some of the warblers. They afforded outstanding views, better than I'm used to having in the states.
